Residents of the Charkop Atomic Energy Employees Cooperative Housing Company in Kandivli said that in March 2020, a BMC team inspected their premises and handed them a letter stating that they had obtained a 5% tax rebate land for waste composting. However, the same was not reflected in the property tax bill, they said.
When TOI contacted Deputy Municipal Commissioner of R-South Ward Sandhya Nandedkar about the matter, she said that the integration into the system was not yet complete and therefore the same could not be implemented. work.
She added that if a company is found not to pursue segregation, the application is denied.
