City launches e-bike discounts for downtown workers


Santa Cruz city officials said on Tuesday they had launched a rebate program that would give downtown workers between $ 200 and $ 400 who buy an electric bicycle.

The program is for downtown workers enrolled in GO Santa Cruz, a two-year, county-wide program that supports and rewards commuters for choosing alternatives to driving to and from work, such as driving. cycling, taking the bus or walking to work.

Downtown Santa Cruz employees enrolled in the program are eligible for additional benefits, including free bus passes, bike locker cards, and downtown dollars, as well as interest rate bike loans. zero up to $ 1,500, free 1: 1 bike consultations, and two weeks free. long e-bike test rides.
