We have an Complete guide to choosing the best Fitbit here. Fitbit also has a comparison tool that can help you decide which device is best for you.

Buy old or used Fitbits

There have been many models of Fitbit since the first one: Classic (2007), Ultra (2011), One (2007), Zip (2012), Flex (2014), Force (2014), Surge (2015), Alta ( 2016), Blaze (2016) and Ionic (2017) are all discontinued.

As these models have not been sold for several years, we do not recommend buying them second hand, as their batteries are probably already degraded. The same goes for the old Charge (2014), Charge HR (2015) and Charge 2 (2016) activity trackers.

The Ionic, Fitbit’s first smartwatch, now looks long in the tooth, and you’ll get a much better smartwatch in the Versa 2 or 3 for a better price again.

There are deals on the excellent Charge 4 activity tracker that are certainly worth a look now that the Charge 5 is replacing it in the current lineup.

Older Fitbit smartwatches include the original Versa (2018) and Versa Lite (2019), both of which are still decent products, but look for deals on at least the Versa 2 (late 2019) if you can.

Above you’ll find the best deals on these older but newer Fitbits.

Fitbit Premium Free Trial

Fitbit has extended its 7-day free trial of Fitbit Premium to 90 days for new customers, which is a great incentive to stay in shape while getting stuck inside.

Fitbit Premium offers additional personalized health information for Fitbit owners, such as advanced sleep tools and access to over 150 videos and audio workouts. The service otherwise costs £ 7.99 / US $ 9.99 per month or £ 79.99 / US $ 79.99 per year.

The Inspire 2 comes with a free premium year, and there are usually at least 90 days on the others.

The easiest way to get the deal is through the app (trust us, we tried to find the deal on the desktop and couldn’t find anything) which is free on Android or iOS. After creating and connecting your account, select the “Premium” icon at the bottom of the dashboard. You will see options to sign up for a monthly or annual subscription, which will activate the option to start your trial. Don’t worry, you can cancel 24 hours before the end of the trial, otherwise it will renew automatically,
