On August 28, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, announced that the state government would reimburse application fees for candidates who do not qualify for the current recruitment exams for Grade III positions. and IV in the state.
Around 14 lakh people have registered to take the tests, which will determine who would fill around 30,000 grade III and grade IV positions in various government departments in Assam.
The first and second rounds of the review took place on August 21 and 28 amid heightened security. Mobile internet services have been banned in 25 districts of Assam during exam days to prevent any “untoward incidents”.
The last exam will take place on September 11.
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma told the media that “the exams are going smoothly in all places in the state.” No allegations of inappropriate conduct were reported during the review.
“We will do our best to announce the results within the next month. And applicants who do not qualify will have their exam fees refunded. Payments would be refunded to applicants’ individual bank accounts,” the Chief Minister added.
