Safe Celebration of Christmas and New Years | Blayney Chronicle

Looking back on 2021, it was certainly a year that presented us with many challenges.

As NSW leads the way in terms of learning to live with the pandemic, it’s great to see people being able to reunite with family and friends this holiday season.

For many of us that means traveling our roads, so we need to remember that every time you get behind the wheel of a car, the decisions you make can have fatal consequences.

It is important to take a break to avoid fatigue and not to get behind the wheel if you have been drinking.

In the meantime, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Take care of yourself, stay safe and bring 2022.

STRENGTHENING FOR THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY WHEN REGISTRATION OPENS FOR AN ALFRESCO REBATE OF $ 5,000

Hospitality businesses statewide can now apply for the NSW Government’s $ 5,000 Alfresco Reboot Rebate with the program now online.

The funding will provide thousands of businesses with the opportunity to grow and expand during the busy summer season.

Up to 5,000 small and medium-sized businesses that open or expand outdoor dining areas may be eligible for the rebate.

We know being outdoors is the safest way to have fun during the pandemic, and this discount will make it easier for businesses to embrace all that outdoor dining has to offer.

The $ 25.5 million program will see the dreams of business owners come true who want to turn their backyard or outdoor space into usable space to increase their income.

The refund request can be made online and once the registration is approved, companies will be able to claim it through their company profile from the end of February.

We’ve removed regulatory barriers, and now these grants will help alfresco dining thrive statewide with funds to make simple changes like better lighting or electrical connections.

Businesses are encouraged to join us as soon as possible, as the $ 5,000 rebate is capped at the first 5,000 successful applicants.

Hotel companies will be able to claim eligible expenses incurred from October 14, 2021 to April 30, 2022. Claims must be made before April 30, 2022.
