Tell us what you think of cruising in 2022 – and win a $400 wine voucher

With the heart of the cruise industry thumping once again, it’s time to relaunch Australia’s most important awards – the ones you voted for, the cruise passenger.

Without you, there would be no cruise in Australia. So it’s time for you to reclaim your position as the most influential voice of the cruise consumer.

We know cruise chefs listen to our rewards more than anyone else – because they tell us. And this year, we want to know what you think of the performance of your favorite line.

There have been many exciting changes.

Luxury lines like Regent Seven Seas, Oceania, Ponant and Viking have increased their fleets and presence in Australia. Next season will see more of their ships in our local waters.

Upper Premium lines like Celebrity and Norwegian have made great strides in improving their offerings and new ships.

And this increasingly blurred position between contemporary and high-end continues, with Princess increasingly forced to defend its leading position against competition from Royal Caribbean.

And then there’s the resurgence of the P&O fleet with new large ships ex-Princess Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure, while Pacific Explorer continues to be the cruise industry’s traveling ambassador.

It’s an exciting line.

Unfortunately, there are a few omissions – but not as many as one might expect. Dream Cruises and Star Cruises in Asia are no more, although Dream has made a comeback under the Genting brand. And luxury favourite, Crystal, also fell – but was taken over by Abercrombie & Kent, who will become big new stewards of the brand. Expect to see Symphony and Serenity again next year.

Voting will open in August and winners will be announced in October.

This year, we’re featuring over 20 categories, including some exciting new ones, such as Best New Ship and New Yacht Class Vessels.

We leave no stone unturned here, and look to top it all off, from your favorite new ships and high-end cabins to the best floating spas and most durable lines.
