VILLE DE FAYETTE RECEIVES A REBATE CHECK FROM THE MPUC | KMMO

The City of Fayette received a check in the amount of $10,087.24 from the Missouri Public Utilities Commission, presented to the City of Fayette by the Missouri Rural Water Association (MRWA).

Fayette is a system member of MRWA, the administrator of the Missouri Public Utilities Commission’s Interim Loan Program. The Missouri Public Utilities Commission provided the funding that the city of Fayette used for a sewage improvement project. The check received by the City of Fayette from the Missouri Public Utilities Commission is reimbursement for interest charges during the construction of the improvements.

Mayor Jeremy Dawson said, “This is the culmination of years of hard work with federal and state agencies to keep our sewage system in compliance and continue to provide reliable, environmentally responsible service to our residents.

Mayor Dawson thanked staff and elected officials, current and past, who brought this project to fruition and credited the United States Department of Agriculture and Rural Development for making this project affordable for Fayette residents.

Additionally, Mayor Dawson thanked public finance company DA Davidson & Co. for their work in structuring and managing the loan.
